ABOUT YEJI
YEJI is the leader of the K-Pop girl group ITZY . Her official positions are: main dancer, lead vocalist, and sub-rapper.She is called one of the all-rounder ace idols in her generation with excellent talents in dancing, singing, rapping, performance, live, etc. Her dancing and live performance skills were appraised highly just for her debut stage, where she appeared to have been an experienced idol instead of a rookie. Such assessment elevated her along the ranks of her seniors in the industry early on in her career.YEJI's skills were also highly appraised even before her formal debut, which earned her the nickname "JYP's Secret Weapon" when she participated in the talent show "The Fan" in 2018 and competed against aspiring singers and next future stars.She passed the local audition and joined JYPE in 2016, and was admired by fellow trainees for her exceptional dancing. YEJI debuted with ITZY in February 2019 after 3 years of training.

YEJI's visual is described as cat-like, and at times like a wolf cat or a fox, due to her sharp eyes, nose, and jawline which gives off a 'cold beauty' image when void of expressions, however her bright and gentle personality 'like a baby cat' is revealed whenever she smiles or laughs. These contrasting images, called "gap" by fans, greatly attracts people to YEJI. K-Media also often call her a 'charming cat', with Dispatch naming her as the 'Cat of Truth', which means the most cat-like out of all the cat-like visuals in K-Pop.However, despite being a 'unique beauty' and photogenic, it is frequently mentioned that YEJI is exceptionally stunning in person and that no pictures have truly captured her beautiful facial features. If you’ve reached this point—you’re most likely a YEJI fan, old or new one!Aside from MIDZY, Black Heart (BH in short) is the name of YEJI’s sub-fandom which is derived from her Bubble chat room name. She usually refer to it as the “Black Heart Room/Club” and calls herself as the “Black Heart Captain”. Fans have now adopted into calling themselves as BH or BH Squad.YEJI likes the color black and made a wordplay with black ‘geom’ (검) and thank you ‘gomawo’ (고마워) into 'geomhawo' (검하워), which is the BH version of “thank you”.This section is for those who would be willing to participate in fan activities such as streaming, voting, upvoting articles on Korean platforms and anything that would be deemed beneficial and as a form of support to YEJI.
